Street Art Inspired by Jack Nicholson

I was riding my bike around Red Hook, Brooklyn this weekend and saw these amazing murals inspired by Jack Nicholson’s roles in The Shining and as the Joker in Batman (1989).

Awesome.

    Art in the street, without context, is just scribbling. What does an amazing, haunting film by Kubrick have to do with a city wall? Let the over-educated academics tell you that it speaks to our culture, but to me, it is just yet another menacing image.
