Notorious B.I.G. Artwork

It’s not Friday, but I wanted to share this beautiful painting/sketch my friend sent to me of the late Notorious B.I.G.  Love the way the watercolors blend to replicate his iconic Coogie sweater.  I’ve come across so many paintings and illustrations of Biggie since starting this blog (see past posts here and here), it’s clear that he’s a legend whose talents are greatly missed.  I was just talking to my homegirl about what hip-hop would be if he and Tupac had lived….

Sad that I can’t credit the artist, but the Tumblr page I found it on didn’t make reference to it either.  The Tumblr page is pretty cool though.  Check it that here.

I grew up listening to heavy doses of Tupac sprinkled in with a little bit of Biggie and I appreciate his music. This piece is nice. Love watercolor.

I LOVE THIS! I totally am going to make this for my apartment.

If you like Biggie, check out some of these Bad Boys (get it? Biggie was on Bad Boy Records? Okay, I’m a nerd, sorry):
