Number 9 – Sarah of the dope blog This is Really Fly. Sarah – I’ll also be throwing in a sample of Cheer laundry detergent so that you keep these clothes colorful.
Thanks to everyone who entered. Don’t be discouraged this time around. We’re having another giveaway where we’re sharing more items from the “Climbing Walls” video and one of the things that will be shared is the new iPod Nano with Multi-Touch.
More details on that tomorrow.
Love the colors and geometrical patterns on these hand beaded earrings and necklaces from brokenfab.
I’m a huge fan of typography (check out past posts here and here), so when my friend M put me on to this PBS documentary I knew it was something that I needed to share here. The special goes into detail on how type affects our everyday life and a major instrument in communication.
Fantastic stuff. Enjoy!
So I never did get around to seeing the new Tribe movie Beats, Rhymes and Life, but I did recently come across this incredible mixtape by Mick Boogie. It’s chock full of rare songs, demos, limited-edition remixes, and collaborations. It’s seriously awesome.
Check it out for yourself here.
Well it’s finally Wednesday and as promised I’m giving away a few of the funky colorful items from Strange Talk’s new “Climbing Walls” video. Above are a few of the scenes.
I’m sharing 3 items with you today – a blue crop top (one size fits all), a patterned scarf and a pair of Rayban G15 lens sunglasses.
Yes all 3 can be yours! The only thing you need to do it leave a comment telling me the favorite color you like to wear and why. This giveaway is open to US and Canada residents only (sorry international readers). One winners will be selected using random.org. This ends on Tuesday 8/23 at 11pm EST. The winner will be announced next Wednesday.
Don’t forget to check out the actual video over at Strange Talk’s YouTube page. The video is interactive and each day you have a change of winning items from it by clicking on the highlighted sections.
Thanks to our sponsors Cheer laundry detergent for keeping this colorful!
I haven’t worn much jeans since the summer started, but with the cooler temperatures in store I’m sure to be breaking out some of these styles in the coming weeks. Maybe even the coming days since the high in NYC yesterday was 72. Unbelievable since it’s still August!
Anyway, these are a few items that caught my eye. The Christian Louboutin wedges are my favorite for sure.
1. Juicy Couture mini dress, 2. Toms bleach splatter denim women’s cordones, 3. Diamond denim bow hair pin, 4. Top Shop denim western style jacket, 5. Dolce & Gabbana denim clutch, 6. Christian Louboutin Deroba denim wedge, 7. Indigo denim mini skirt, 8. H&M denim jeans
Colorful new pieces from jewelry designer Rachel Stewart. These and lots more are available for purchase at her online shop here.
As I mentioned last week, Strange Talk has released the official video for “Climbing Walls” today. The video is interactive and chock full of colorful prizes. All you have to do is click for a chance to win.
On Wednesday I’ll be giving away some of the items the dancers are wearing in the video. A huge thanks to our partners at Cheer laundry detergent for making this possible. I love seeing brands support up and coming artists and their equity around color and the styles showcased are a perfect match.

I really enjoyed this short documentary on Brazilian fashion designer Carlos Falchi. He speaks about how the 60’s NY art and music scene influenced his work and how color inspires the bags he creates.
The animations in the film were done by SVA graduate Thomas Losinski.
