Video: 29 Ways to Stay Creative

This video has been circulating the blogosphere for a couple of weeks now, but I thought it was still relevant enough to share here.

These days I need to do less of number 28 and more of number 19.  Lol.  Seriously though, this is a great video. One that I’ve been watching over and over again in hopes that I’ll start incorporating these tips in my life. Enjoy!

Boxing Kitten F/W 2011

I’m loving the prints and color palettes from the Boxing Kitten F/W 2011 collection.  Above this, I think the shoot was extremely well executed.

Photographed by one my favorites, Kwesi Abbensetts, all elements such as the lighting, makeup and styling have come together to create a romantic experience that really draws the consumer in.

Check out the rest of the collection here.

Inspiration from Ira Glass

Some inspirational words from my favorite NPR star Ira Glass. Ira was speaking to this from the perspective of a journalist, but this advice can be taken by any creative professional.

Check out the video version as well.

Artist: Matt Lyon

I “discovered” Matt Lyon on my new favorite site AOL Artists and I’m captivated by his work.  Much like my infatuaution with Jen Stark a few months ago (see here), I’m going to be posting some of his work every Wednesday for the next 3 or 4 weeks.

Read his AOL write-up here and check out his portfolio here.

Designer: Derek Deal

Dope Derek Deal designs.

I’m going to get a flag made out of the first image and launch it in a personal attack against McDonald’s and all fast food establishments.   Kidding kidding!  No seriously,  I’m not trying to get sued over such a statement.  :)

More from Derek Deal here.

Welcome Summer!

Google has teamed up with Takashi Murakami (you remember him from Kanye’s Graduation album cover a few years ago) to redesign their logo in celebration of the first day of summer.

I love Murakami’s work and I’m so pumped about the season.  It’s gonna be a awesome!
