Malibu and Niark1 Collaboration

Malibu continues to collaborate with artists designing their packaging in cool and unique ways.  These illustrations were created by French studio Niark1.

Art and alcohol just happen to be on my list of favorite things, so I love seeing work like this come together.  See Malibu’s past collaborations here.

Medieval Castle Graffiti

This 13th century Scottish castle was in need of renovation, so its owners decided to raise funds by increasing public traffic with the help of artwork.  Created by four Brazilian graffiti artists who stayed in the castle for a month, these amazing collaborations came to life.  Since the concrete on the outside walls needed to be redone the art was done on a temporary basis.

This is so pretty. I wish someone would come paint my apartment building this way. See how came together in the video below.

BDG High Rise Jeans

Colorful high rise skinnies from UO.  I need to start doing some crunches in order to wear these with tank tops this spring.  The yellow and berry ones are to die for.

Inspired by: Black & White Polka Dots

Black and White Polka Dots

I attended an information session with a stylist from NY Magazine a few weeks ago and she mentioned how polka dots are fun for spring.  This was music to my ears because I’m a huge fan of anything patterned and polka dotted!  These are some items I’ve been eying up.

That corset is HAUTE!  I want to channel my inner Amber Rose and pair that bad boy up with some tights and heels and work the runway.  Yes, these are the types of thoughts that go through my head.  :)

1. Liberty Zip purse 2. Black and white corset, 3. Modcloth To the Hop dress, 4. Licorice Stick Polka bow tie, 5.  TALLY WEiJL multiple bangles, 6. Moshino silk shorts, 7. Alice and Olive polka dot ruffle, 8. Restricted: Ann Wedge

Senso Shoes

Loving these shoes from Senso.  The colors.  The height.  YES!

Not sure if I’d actually wear any of these, but they sure are interesting to look at.

Friday Video: TiRon & Ayomari – Good Food

Since we’re on the subject of fresh rap duos today, I thought I’d share a video I came across a few weeks ago.

If you have an appreciation for good food and music then you’ll love this song from Californian-based group TiRon & Ayomari.  Check it out.

Friday Music Inspiration: Camp Lo Uptown Saturday Night

I’ve had flwrpt’s The Green on heavy rotation over the past couple weeks.  One of my favorite songs on the mix is “Coolie High”.  This made me realize how much I’ve missed the sounds of Camp Lo.  The Uptown Saturday Night album features dope tracks like “Luchini (This Is It)” and “Black Connection”.  The art is also pretty tight.

Check out the video for “Luchini”.  The song is over 10 years old at this point, but when that beat drops the party still goes wild.  Enjoy!

Artist: Alexey Kurbatov

Gorgeous illustrations from Russian artist Alexey Kurbatov.  There’s a certain amount of emotion captured in his work.  The image of Frida Kahlo is especially moving.  See his portfolio on the Behance network here.

Current Heart: Nooka/Neff Watch

I’ve got watches on my brain these days and when I saw this particular one I kinda geeked.  Nooka Fashion brand Nooka Inc. and ASR company, Neff have collaborated to create a limited edition timepiece that utilizes an array of bright colors attention grasping colors.  The watch features custom colorful Neff graphics as well as their notorious logo.

I could actually do without the logo on the face since I find it pretty distracting, but the patterns on here are really cool.  Available on the Nooka site here.

Luke Rudolf Portraits

These are cool, but kinda creepy.  I wouldn’t want to be left in a dark room with one of them.

More scariness lovey paintings here.
