Reulf – A World Without Color

This is the story of how little creatures with paintbrush decide to brighten up the a city without color….

This video, titled Reulf, is a student project directed by Quentin Carnicelli, Charles Klipfel & Jean-François Jégo as part of their graduate program in “Arts et Technologies de l’Image” at the University of Paris VIII.  The music was composed by Robert le magnifique & Olivier Mellano.

This is so cute and the soundtrack is amazing.  Check it out.  I promise that it’ll be the brightest 4 minutes of your day.

Street Art and Skating

A friend of mine shared these dope pictures of this street art and skate crew in his neighborhood.  These kids have moves.

I always wanted to learn how to skateboard.  I think it’s one of those things that I’m going to have to let go of though.  I can’t imagine it would be a pretty sight.

Wall mural located on Vernon Ave and Thompkins in Brooklyn.

Friday Music Inspiration: Common

Common is one of my favorites hip-hop artists.  From tracks such as The People and “Go!” to great collaborations like “The Questions” with Mos Def and “The Corner” featuring The Last Poets I think he’s one of most understated rappers out there.  Do you have a favorite Common record?

Alberto Seveso Photography

Amazing digital photography from Italian artist Alberto Seveso.  The sense of movement in these images is truly jaw-dropping.

I post work from a lot of great artists, but this is definitely up there as one of the best things I’ve come across.  More from Alberto here.

The AOC Color Palette Series

I’ve always enjoyed looking at how color palettes create an image, so I’m kicking off a series where I’ll be reviewing the palettes on images that inspire me and posting for your viewing pleasure.

The first is this image that my friend shared with me a couple of weeks ago.  Enjoy!

Honey & Mackie Ice Cream Package Design

Honey & Mackie is an ice cream shop for kids that caters to adults.  The design here was meant to appeal to both consumers.  Nice use of color and I love the multiple fonts that were used.

Created by Minneapolis firm Wink.
