Friday Video: Kid Cudi – Make Her Say

“Make Her Say” was the second single released on Kid Cudi’s album, Man on the Moon: The End of the Day.  The music video for the song was directed by Nez Khammal and released on July 20, 2009.

The video carries a minimal feel, with shots developed in wide-open spaces. Kid Cudi, Kanye West, and Common all appear in the video, but they never attended a film shoot together.  Each of their scenes occurred in a different part of the US.

I love the pastel balloons in the intro and the beige and blue theme throughout.  I especially love Common’s scene.

Grand Central Post-it Mural

Temporary Post-it display at Grand Central Terminal.

In honor of the company’s 30th anniversary, students submitted work to compete for the world’s largest billboard made of Post-it Notes. Done with 112,640 Post-it Super Sticky Notes, the mural was designed by Allison Hilgert, 17, and Ysanne Taylor, 16, who attend Lecanto High School in Florida.

I wonder how long that took to install.  Seems extremely tedious!

Inspired by: Leopard Prints

It seems that leopard prints are on fire right now and I gotta tell you that I’m a fan!  I pulled together a few items that struck me as simply amazing.  My heart is aching for those wedges.

Caution:  These all these items should not be worn together.  If so, you run the risk of literally looking like a wild woman.  One or two max at a time!  Even two could be a stretch.  :)

Friday Video: Mary J. Blige – All That I Can Say

“All That I Can Say” was the second single from Mary J. Blige’s self-titled album, Mary.  The song was composed and produced by Lauryn Hill and contains samples from Michael Jackson’s song, “I Can’t Help It”.  The video is a dream that Mary is having and features her walking through a heavenly fantasy world of blue.

Blue is often thought of calming, tranquil, cool and peaceful.  It certainly has that effect here and works beautifully in this video.

I really love this song.  It gives me goosebumps every time I hear it.  Enjoy and have a great weekend!

Anthropologie Fall Finds

Anthropologie’s fall collection is out in rich browns, reds and yellows.  The pieces that they’ve identified as Harvest Hues, consist of rich berry, wheat and gold tones that are parallel with what we think of as the autumn season.  Since mustard and cinnamon are among my list of favorite colors, I’ve selected a few items that called out to me.
